130,000 people signed a petition calling for Valve to remove paid mods. However, fans and modders alike reacted negatively to the announcement with many complaints leveraged against content creators only receiving 25% of the total profits and even more against the concept of paying for mods in general.
In spring 2015, Bethesda and Valve partnered to sell Steam Workshop content for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and later on all Creation Engine games. Creation Club content is fully curated and compatible with the main game and official add-ons, meaning using Creation Club content won't disable achievements. It features new items, abilities, and gameplay created by Bethesda Game Studios and outside development partners including community creators. Creation Club is a collection of all-new content for Fallout 4 as well as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
